Twelve of us began our day by fitting patterns for Edwardian wrappers, using the Folkwear Calico Dress as our starting point. We looked at antique garments and replica wrappers for inspiration, including an amazing cotton wrapper, completely hand sewn, with 1830s styling, thoughtfully shared by Eileen Trestain. Everyone made a good start by comparing their own measurements to the pattern measurements, and then cutting out the bodice linings.

After a simple lunch of split pea soup, Saratoga chips, and ham salad sandwiches, we heard from Kathryn Sinor, the Executive Director of the Oswego Heritage House, who then led a tour of the building and Museum space.

We spent the afternoon in an exploration of portrait photography.
